New is nice...but old is Awesome!
1959 Corvette project, 283, 4bbl, dual exhaust, 4-speed manual, very old driver restoration and has been in sitting for the last 15 years, car rolls very easy on the correct bias ply wide whites with original hubcaps, not running at the moment, engine is free and oil looks ok so I believe it will run with a little bit of work (that's a guess lol) as previous owner said it ran and drove approx. 8-10 years ago when he did a tune-up, brakes and new dual exhaust, very complete and solid car, frame is good with only one small patch where the X-frame meets the side frame on one side, VIN tag in place, has been painted a couple times over the years so not sure of the original color, top goes up and down as it should and in usable condition, has a couple small holes on each side down low - see pics, interior complete with old custom upholstery, engine suffix code comes up as 1959 Impala 283 so not original engine, not sure on the transmission being original, obviously needs complete restoration BUT..... In my opinion, I would do the mechanical, get it running/driving and just drive it as is! We purchased this car with the intentions of keeping it for the shop as a fun car to cruise around town that has that awesome "as found" barn find condition and leave the body as is, we have already installed a new gas tank/sending unit and purchased some new parts of which will go with the car, another project has come up so here's your chance to get into a hard to find first generation Corvette! Lots of restored ones out there to buy for big bucks but not many like this that are not a complete basket case. Huge potential here!
Sorry, Sold!
